Ajímátí Films is a Paris-based production company founded by filmmaker Alain Kassanda and anthropologist Emilie Guitard. It aims at challenging the gaze and dominant representations on various social and political issues.  So far we’ve produced Trouble Sleep, a mid-length film, focused on the power dynamic at play on the road in Ibadan, depicted from the perspective of a taxi driver and an union worker.

Colette & Justin aims at reclaiming the narrative on Congolese history addressed through a series of conversation between Alain Kassanda and his grand-parents.

And lastly, Coconut Head Generation, a direct cinema style that emerges the viewer in the university of Ibadan, following a group of politically committed students organizing a movie club.
